La Blanca

la blanca

Maravatio (Mexico), 2011

The installation was buit in the abandoned flour mill – about 4000 square feets of dark and dirty space.

I organized this space as a light installation. I made several square shape holes in the roof; the day light came through. At 12 o’clock the light formed a clear-cut rectangles that moved across the floor. At 2 o’clock in the afternoon this effect is lost.

After presenting the installation to regional cultural authorities proposed to transform this place into a exhibition and cultural venue.
